The little boy, now fully recovered and bursting with energy, kissed Han Jing on the cheek, melting the hearts of everyone present.
2025年2月13日傍晚，辅警韩靖正在武汉市硚口区中山大道利济路路口执勤，一位母亲抱着昏迷不醒、浑身抽搐的小孩过来向他求助。韩靖没有丝毫犹豫，抱起孩子冲向500米开外的武汉市第一医院，约3分钟就赶到了急救室。退役军人韩靖发挥自己的体能优势，勇敢担当，为孩子赢得了宝贵的救治时间。2月16日，《人民日报》官方微信转载极目新闻报道，韩靖救人的善举再次引发全国网友盛赞。
On the evening of February 13, 2025, traffic assistant Han Jing was on duty at the intersection of Zhongshan Avenue and Liji Road in Qiaokou District, Wuhan, when a mother approached him carrying her unconscious and convulsing child seeking help. Without hesitation, he grabbed the toddler and sprinted 500 meters (about 0.3 miles) to Wuhan First Hospital, arriving at the emergency room in just three minutes. As a veteran, he bravely jumped into action, leveraging his physical stamina to secure critical treatment time for the child. His valiant actions drew nationwide praise from netizens, after the official People’s Daily WeChat account reposted Jimu News’ coverage of the story on February 16.
2月24日上午9时许，黄女士和公公、婆婆以及小孩来到硚口区交通大队。见到韩靖，孩子爷爷田爹爹不停鞠躬，黄女士向韩靖送上鲜花，田爹爹向韩靖送上锦旗，上面写着：“感谢人民好交警，危急时刻伸援手。”韩靖则向小孩送上“交警小熊”小礼物。小宝贝起初还有些认生，没一会儿就和韩靖熟络起来，在奶奶、妈妈的引导下，奶声奶气地向韩靖说道：“叔叔，谢谢你！”还冲着韩靖的脸颊亲吻起来，现场顿时被小宝贝萌化了。
On 9 a.m., February 24, Ms. Huang went to the traffic brigade of Qiaokou District, Wuhan with her child and the child’s grandparents. The moment the child’s grandfather, Mr. Tian, saw Han Jing, he continuously bowed to him. Meanwhile, Ms. Huang gifted Han a bouquet of flowers and Mr. Tian presented a silk banner that read “Grateful to the Dedicated People’s Traffic Police for Rescuing Us at a Critical Moment.” In return, Han Jing gave the child a plush toy of the police mascot “Traffic Police Bear”. Initially, the child was shy with Han Jing, but soon warmed up to him. With the guidance of his mother and grandmother, the child said in a sweet, timid voice, “Thank you, Uncle!” He even kissed Han Jing on the cheek, instantly melting the hearts of everyone present.

回忆起当天的救人经过，黄女士说：“当时我们都吓坏了，多亏遇到了你。”韩靖说：“这都是我们应该做的。”黄女士还向当天停车救助自己的宝马司机洪女士通话致谢，洪女士表示：“我们没有做到位，孩子康复了就好。”
Recalling Han Jing’s rescue that day, Ms. Huang said, “We were terrified, but thankfully you were there to help us.” Han Jing replied, “This is what we are supposed to do.” In addition, Ms. Huang expressed her gratitude to Ms. Hong by telephone, who pulled over in her BMW to help them that day. Ms. Hong said: “There’s always more could have done. What matters is that your child has recovered.”
突然，黄女士掏出手机要求添加韩靖的微信，称要给他介绍一位女朋友。“找男朋友就要找人品好的，韩靖人品非常好！”黄女士介绍，自己的小姑子也是单身，希望能撮合她跟韩靖谈朋友。韩靖的脸瞬间红了，不好意思地低下头，说道：“顺其自然，顺其自然。”
Suddenly, Ms. Huang pulled out her phone and asked to add Han Jing’s WeChat, saying she wanted to introduce him to a girl. “Girls are supposed to find partners of good character, and Han Jing is exactly that!” Ms. Huang said that she hoped to match her single sister-in-law with Han Jing. Han Jing’s face turned red instantly, as he shyly lowered his head, saying, “It’ll happen in its own time.”
据悉，这并非韩靖第一次救人。2023年7月28日，一名女子从武汉月湖桥上跳入汉江轻生，韩靖毫不犹豫跳入汉江，奋力将女子救起。此外，扛起水枪扑灭棉布店大火、在商超抓扒手……这位铁血汉子总是在危急时刻挺身而出，将个人生死置之度外。凭借这一系列英勇行为，他被授予“全国见义勇为勇士”“荆楚楷模”“武汉市道德模范”等荣誉称号。
According to insiders, this is not the first time Han Jing has come to someone’s rescue. On July 28, 2023, a woman plunged into the Han River from the Yuehu Bridge in Wuhan in an attempt to end her own life. Upon spotting her, Han Jing immediately jumped into the river and pulled her to safety. During other instances, he lugged a water hose to extinguish a fire at a cotton cloth shop, apprehended a pickpocket in a supermarket, to name but a few. In times of crisis, Han has always stepped to plate overlooking even his own safety. For these heroic acts, he has been awarded honorary titles such as “National Brave Hero,” “Model Citizen of Hubei,” and “Wuhan Moral Model.”
在送给韩靖的鲜花上，在极目新闻微信视频号下方，黄女士这样写道：“你们用勇气和毅力坚守岗位，守护着城市的安全。愿你们的生活充满阳光。好人一生平安！”
On the bouquet of flowers given to Han Jing and under the video posted by Jimu News on WeChat, Ms. Huang wrote: “You uphold your duties with courage and perseverance, guarding the safety of the city. May your life be filled with sunshine. Good people deserve a peaceful life!”
临别时，韩靖拉着小孩的手，小宝贝对一身制服的韩靖充满了好奇，依依不舍，再次亲吻韩靖的脸颊。
As they parted ways, Han Jing held the child’s hand. The child, fascinated by this man in a police uniform and reluctant to leave, planted one last peck on Han Jing’s cheek.
