Wuhan Tianhe Int'l Airport logs 1.289 mln entry-exit trips in 2024

Wuhan Tianhe International Airport handled 1.289 million inbound and outbound tripsin 2024,representing a year-on-year increase of 121.77 percentandranking first among allborder portsin central China, official data showed on Friday.

The surge in travelers is due to China's mutual visa exemption agreements with other countries, the240-hour visa-free transit policy and other favorable policies, attracting visitors from around the world.

Inbound tripsmadeby foreign visitors surged tomore than100,000in 2024,skyrocketing by 200 percentyear on year.South Korea, Malaysia, the United States and Singapore are the main sources of tourists.
