The Sino-German Green Conference 2024 was held on Thursday in Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province.
Representatives from Bosch, Siemens, Huaxin Cement andWuhan Weilai Energy Equipment attended the conference to discuss the high-quality development ofcarbon peak andcarbon neutrality in Wuhan.
Shi Mingde, President of China-Germany Friendship Association, said that China has been Germany's largest trading partner in the world for eight consecutive years. In recent years, China and Germany have deepened cooperation in the field of green energy.
The conference was hosted by Hubei Provincial People’s Government, and organized by Wuhan Municipal People’s Government, Department of Commerce of Hubei Province,AHK Greater China and Hubei Hongtai Group.
So far, 121 German enterprises have invested in Wuhan, with a direct investment of 246 million euros, and 11 Wuhan enterprises have invested in 13 projects in Germany. From January to August this year, Wuhan's total exports to Germany reached 2.76 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 8.3 percent. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
