The Enshi Xujiaping Airport inEnshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture has passed its acceptance review for opening up, the national officials announced on Thursday.
To date,the airport haslaunched 18 domestic routes to 22 cities. From January to October this year, the passenger throughputreached1.51 million,while the cargo throughputstood at 1,673 tonnes,up11.21 percent and 30.84 percent respectively.
In June 2019, theairport was approvedfor temporary openingup, becomingthe third civil airportto openinternationalandregional routes inHubei.The airport has launched internationalandregionalflights to Macao, Siem Reap in Cambodia, Da Nang in Vietnam, Pattaya in Thailand,andHo Chi Minh in Vietnam.
The airport is expected to open international routes to Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and South Korea in the near future. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei）
