The Commerce Department of Hubei Province has granted licensesto four overseas economic and trade cooperation zones, according to a meetingheld in Wuhan on Friday.
Overseaseconomic and trade cooperation zones refer to economic and trade cooperation zones invested and constructed by Chinese enterprises in foreign countries. The four zones are Hubei Dijianeconomic and trade cooperation zone in Malaysia, the YOFC(Hubei) economic and tradecooperation zone in Poland, the Detian Dudou (Hubei)economic and trade cooperation zone in Germany and theForbon (Hubei) economic and trade cooperation zone in France.
Currently, the provinceembraces 11 economic and trade cooperation zones in 10 countries including Germany, Poland, France, Malaysia and Russia, coveringvariousareas such asresource utilization, scientific and technological research and development, processing and manufacturing, and agricultural cooperation.
With a total investment of nearlyone billion U.S.dollars,11 cooperation zones have housed144 enterprisesandhavecreated approximately 3,000 jobs as of September 2024. (en.hubei.gov.cn by Zhang Yawei)
